Ruth builds brands and the businesses underneath them — the category strategy, the product and merchandising calls, and the go-to-market that carries them across retail, e-commerce and wholesale, with the P&L in her hands. She brings 25+ years across Nike, lululemon, adidas, C&A and Canada Goose, most recently as Global SVP of Outerwear & Apparel at Canada Goose.
As Global VP of the adidas Running Business Unit — a €3.3B business — she sharpened the brand's positioning and launched franchises including Ultraboost, while the 'Parley' collaboration established adidas as the most sustainable brand in the running market. She went on to lead Go-To-Market across adidas' Sports Business Units, and earlier ran buying for womenswear, accessories, lingerie and footwear as SVP / Director of Buying at C&A, following GM and Global VP, GMM roles at lululemon.
She has lived and worked in five countries — the Netherlands, the UK, the US, Canada and now Germany — and has led teams ranging from 20 to 900+. She holds Harvard Business School executive education.
At The Convened, Ruth works with consumer and lifestyle brands on category and brand management, product and merchandising, and go-to-market — including sustainability as a commercial lever rather than a claim.
