Renee has run the People function at every stage, from a startup's first hire to a $4.6B public company. Most recently she was Chief People Officer at eXp World Holdings, the largest independent real estate brokerage in the US, responsible for 2,700 employees and 83,000 agents across 24 countries, where she led the People side of the company's expansion into eight new markets.

She treats the People function as a driver of the business rather than a reaction to it — building it from the ground up where it doesn't exist, and turning large reactive teams into proactive ones aligned with the business. At Octane she built the function and the team from inception as the company scaled from 80 to 650 and revenue grew from $90M to $355M. At Medly she absorbed a 1,200-person acquisition into a company of 900, more than doubling it overnight, kept 92% of the talent, and delivered $30M in cost synergies. She has worked directly with CEOs, boards and compensation committees on executive pay and succession, and partnered with investors through Series B to D and $100M in fundraising.

Her current focus is company-wide AI transformation and how companies build their AI workforce with strategy, focus, speed and governance. At eXp she built one of the first AI agent systems inside an enterprise HR function and ran a company-wide AI literacy program. Renee's book, HR Confidential, is forthcoming from Crown. She holds a J.D. and is completing an M.S. in Strategic Foresight at the University of Houston.
